26x15, $700, recovered cotton colored with Japanese indigo; This piece celebrates the magic of Japanese indigo (Persicaria tinctoria): green leaves that give the artist a myriad of blues. Indigo leaves from the garden are processed into blue dye, paint and print to create blue cloth that is cut and collaged to make the final color story.
